About me
Sue Hamilton-White
I’m a fine artist creating abstract paintings that evoke, create or depict positive shifts on an emotional or visual level. My work is often layered, transitioning from one state to another, representing a journey or exciting an emotion based in freedom. I'm a synaesthete, meaning that when I hear music, I see colours and shapes. This informs the work I make, and results in work additionally inspired by the music I love, or requests taken as commissions.
ABOUT ME
I’ve been working as a multi-disciplined artist for over 30 years. I have a BA in film, MA in Fine Art (photography) and MA in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths University.
I come from a family of artists and architects and have always been curious about design, space and light, and how the right artwork can complete an environment.
My creative career has included graphic design, filmmaking, music photography, commissions, painting, sculpture and site-specific artwork to being awarded Arts Council and National Lottery grants as an Artist in Residence with children’s charities and schools.
I’m a practising Art Psychotherapist, and founded and run Untapped Art Therapy, a non-profit based in the Bournemouth area.
