Journey to Joy #1  is the very first piece from the ‘Journey to Joy’ collection. 

This collection is concerned with uncovering and exploring the inner parts of the self, enjoying new discoveries, ‘casting off the transient and revealing the true’. Inspired by both emotional and physical transitions as well as the Lotus Sutra, one of the most influential Buddhist texts.

Layers of paint, journeys and shifts that travel between the past and the present. The unburdened, the free is revealed below the surface, represented by brighter colours -  possibilities waiting to be experienced anew.
