Journey to Joy (#1 Triptych)  is the first piece from the ‘Journey to Joy’ triptych 

This collection is concerned with uncovering and exploring the inner parts of the self, enjoying new discoveries, ‘casting off the transient and revealing the true’. Inspired by both emotional and physical transitions as well as the Lotus Sutra, one of the most influential Buddhist texts.

This triptych represents the final pieces in this body of work. Going beyond, expressing joy with the use of brighter colours, the journey starts to have a rhythm, replicated each time with subtle changes. The peach tones in the final layer evoke an energised feeling of joy, a place to stay and absorb the different undertones that include gold and its sister colours, the final celebration of the past and the blueprint for future joyful expression.
